Aryama

Aryama is one of the twelve Adityas born of Aditi, lord of the ancestors and guardian of marriage ties and of hospitality; the Rigveda praises him beside Mitra and Varuna. According to SB 1.13.15, while Yama bore shudra-hood as Vidura for a hundred years through the curse, Aryama took up the burden of duly punishing evil-doers — implying too that no office in the cosmic order is ever left vacant.
