Ashvins

The Aśvins are the twin physicians of the gods, sons of the Sun and Saṁjñā, known also as Nāsatya and Dasra; in the Rigveda they come in their chariot before the dawn and rescue the sick, the aged and the endangered. Their most celebrated act is the restoration of youth to the sage Cyavana, and in the Mahabharata Nakula and Sahadeva are born of their portion. At SB 2.3.5 one who desires long life is directed to worship them, fitting their character as healers; and at SB 2.1.29, in the description of the Virāṭ-Puruṣa, they are named as His nostrils.
