चन्द्र
Chandra, the moon, is the god who presides over the heart of the cosmic Person. At SB 3.6.24: 'hR^idayaM chAsya nirbhinnaM chandramA dhiShNyam Avishat / manasAMshena yenAsau vikriyAM pratipadyate' — when the heart of the Virat opened, the moon entered as its place, and by mind, His portion, he comes to change. In this sequence the moon therefore presides over mind, while at SB 3.6.26 the Great One, the mahat principle, presides over sattva.
