Kubera

Kubera is king of the yakṣas, lord of wealth and of hidden treasures, and guardian of the northern quarter; he is son of the sage Viśravā and half-brother of Rāvaṇa, and Alakāpurī is his capital. The Puṣpaka chariot was originally his, seized from him by force. He is known also as a friend of Śiva. His mention at SB 2.7.33 is indirect: Śaṅkhacūḍa is called 'the follower of the lord of wealth', who came at the time of the rāsa to carry off the women of Vraja and whose head Krishna took off; so that Kubera appears here not as an actor but to identify the offender.
