परमात्मा
Paramatman is the supreme Self indwelling all: in Vedanta, the Lord's form present within every heart and atom as witness (the saguna face of Brahman, likened to milk in milk). In the processed verses it is the second designation of the one nondual Reality also called Brahman and Bhagavan: 'brahmeti paramatmeti bhagavan iti sabdyate' (SB 1.2.11).

The ashraya: that from which both manifestation and dissolution are determined
'abhasash ca nirodhash ca yatash cadhyavasiyate, sa ashrayah param brahma paramatmeti shabdyate' (SB 2.10.7); the Self who knows the threefold person is 'svashrayashrayah', whose support is His own self (SB 2.10.9).
