पुरु
Puru is the ancestor king after whom Uddhava names the line upheld in Uttara by Abhimanyu. SB 3.3.17: 'uttarAyAM dhR^itaH pUroH vaMshaH sAdhu abhimanyunA / sa vai drauNyastra-sa~nChChhinnaH punar bhagavatA dhR^itaH' — the line of Puru was cut off by the weapon of Drauni, the son of Drona, and was upheld again by the Lord.

Uddhava calls the line upheld in Uttara by Abhimanyu the line of Puru; it was cut off by the weapon of Drauni and upheld again by the Lord: 'uttarAyAM dhR^itaH pUroH vaMshaH sAdhu abhimanyunA' (SB 3.3.17).
