शूद्र
The shudras are the varna arisen from the feet of the Person. At SB 3.6.33: 'padbhyAM bhagavato jaj~ne shushrUShA dharmasiddhaye / tasyAM jAtaH purA shUdro yad-vR^ittyA tuShyate hariH' — from the feet of the Lord arose service, for the fulfilment of dharma, and in it the shudra was born of old, by whose occupation Hari is pleased. The verse presents service itself as a means to the fulfilment of dharma.
