The Herbs are the group presiding over the skin of the cosmic Person. At SB 3.6.18: 'tvacham asya vinirbhinnAM vivishur dhiShnyam oShadhIH / aMshena romabhiH kaNDUM yair asau pratipadyate' — when the skin opened, the herbs entered its place, and by the hairs, His portion, itching is attained.
