Age
Treta-yuga
त्रेतायुग
The Treta-yuga is the second of the four ages. At SB 3.11.18 it is named after Krita, and at SB 3.11.19 its length is given as three thousand years, with the hundreds doubled. For the ages after Krita, SB 3.11.21 says: 'sa evAnyeShv adharmeNa vyeti pAdena vardhate' — that same dharma, in the others, wanes by a foot through unrighteousness and grows again.
