Tumburu

Tumburu, foremost of the gandharvas, is a celestial singer and player of the vina; his companionship with Narada is repeatedly described in the Puranas, and the two are taken as the exemplars of the musical art. At SB 1.13.38 he arrives with Narada at Hastinapura, when Yudhishthira is distressed at not finding his elders, and at SB 1.13.60 he ascends again to heaven with him.
