Virata
विराट
Virata, king of the Matsya country, is the father of Uttara. The Pandavas took shelter with him in disguise during the final year of their concealment, and he was a principal ally on their side in the Mahabharata war. At SB 1.8.14 Uttara is called 'vairati', Virata's daughter, whose womb the Lord shielded.
