बदरि

Badarikashrama is the austerity site where the god Narayana and the blessed rishi Nara, the two who nurture the worlds, practised austerity long and intense yet gentle: 'yatra nArAyaNo devo naraH cha bhagavAn R^iShiH / mR^idu tIvraM tapo dIrghaM tepAte loka-bhAvanau' (SB 3.4.22). In the third Skandha it is Uddhava's destination: before the destruction of His clan the Lord told him 'badarIM tvaM prayAhi', go you to Badari (SB 3.4.4), and Uddhava, afflicted by separation, called it beloved and resolved to go there (SB 3.4.21). Instructed by the guru of the three worlds, the source of sound, he reached it and worshipped Hari in samadhi (SB 3.4.32). The Bhagavata calls it both Badari and the circle of the Badari hermitage.
