Dvaraka is Krishna's capital, a fortified city built by the sea, to which He moved the Yadu clan from Mathura because of Jarasandha's repeated assaults. At SB 1.8.8 Krishna mounts His chariot to leave Hastinapura for Dvaraka, and at that very moment Uttara's cry halts Him. His entry into Dvaraka is described at length in SB 1.11.
