Hanuman

Hanumān is the son of the wind-god, born of Añjanā, the vānara hero and one of the central figures of the Rāmāyaṇa; he crossed the ocean and found Sītā in Laṅkā, brought the healing herb that saved Lakṣmaṇa's life, and served Rāma in the war. He is held to be immortal and present wherever the story of Rāma is told — for which reason the devotional tradition treats him as the supreme model of the servant's mood. At SB 2.7.45 he is counted in the list of those who know the yoga-māyā of the Lord and cross beyond it, together with Vibhīṣaṇa, Upendradatta, Pārtha, Ārṣṭiṣeṇa, Vidura and Śrutadeva.
