Jambavati
जाम्बवती
Jambavati, daughter of Jambavan king of the bears, is one of Krishna's principal queens. Searching for the Syamantaka gem, Krishna reached Jambavan's cave, and at the end of a twenty-eight-day combat Jambavan recognised Him as Rama and gave Him both the gem and his daughter. Samba is her son — a relation stated outright at SB 1.11.18 in the words 'jambavati-sutah'.
