Kumaras (the four celibate boy-sages)

कुमार

Also known as कौमारं सर्गम् · Kaumara-sarga (the Kumara creation)

The Four Kumaras — Sanaka, Sanatana, Sanandana and Sanat-kumara — are Brahma's mind-born sons who remained celibate boys and became first teachers of the path of knowledge and devotion; symbols of dispassionate wisdom in Hindu tradition. SB 1.3.6 names the Lord's first assumed form 'kaumaram sargam', the Kumara creation, which observed unbroken brahmacarya; identification with the four boy-sages is the unanimous tradition.
