Pancajana

पंचजन

Pancajana is the asura in whose belly the dead son of Sandipani lay. At SB 3.3.2 Uddhava says that Krishna, having learned the Veda from Sandipani at a single telling, gave the teacher back his dead son as a boon, taken 'pa~nchajanodarAt', from the belly of Pancajana. This is the only mention of Pancajana in this Skandha; the fuller account is in the tenth.
