The ten creations: six natural, three transformed, and that of the gods
At SB 3.10.13-17 the six natural creations are counted: the first from the mahat (14), the second from the aham (15), the third the creation of the elements as the subtle measure (15), the fourth that of the senses (16), the fifth the vaikarika creation of the gods from which mind comes (16), and the sixth that of tamas (17). At SB 3.10.18-25 come the transformed: the seventh, the chief creation, sixfold, of the immovable (18-19); the eighth, that of the animals, of twenty-eight kinds (20); and the ninth, that of men, streaming downward (25). At SB 3.10.28 these ten are called 'vishvasR^ik-kR^itAH', made by the creator of the world.
