Suyajna

सुयज्ञ

Suyajña is the avatāra of the Svāyambhuva manvantara, appearing as the son of the Prajāpati Ruci and Ākūti, daughter of Manu; he begot on Dakṣiṇā the gods called Suyamas and removed the great affliction of the three worlds. According to SB 2.7.2 it was for this that Svāyambhuva Manu gave him the name Hari — deriving that name itself from the removal of distress. The eighth Skandha counts him among the manvantara descents. This descent is not named in the list at SB 1.3, and is therefore carried here as a separate entity.
